SHADOWS is an exhibition of photography and video brought together by the British born and Bergen (Norway) based artist, NORA ADWAN and the Greek born and Athens based artist, ATHANASIA PANAGEA.

The project SHADOWS is the beginning of a longer term investigation into recording spatial memory and histories through image. In this exhibition, each of us is bringing locations and memories from her previous experience. This placement of image stories in different locations creates a new narration. Long term, the work changes, taking elements of each previous location into the next one. SHADOWS travels to cities and countries in Eastern & Central Europe, examining the locations, responding to the environment and learning through sharing stories.

The current form of the project is a starting point which evolves with each experience, chance meeting and through people brought together in the process. From every place we visit we take something, to communicate on to the next one. People, cultural workers, artists are welcome to join us in this investigation.
